President Barack Obama misjudged security concerns about the refugee crisis spilling from Europe into the US homeland, and a speech he gave in the Philippines this week indicates another foreign policy blunder.
Choosing to inject the US 2016 presidential race into a speech abroad was foolhardy, but missing the boat on justifiable national security concerns is a blunder his own Democrats should and will be held accountable for at the voting booth.
Obamabuy modafinil online canada, something media missed as usual:
“When candidates say we shouldn’t admit three-year-old orphans, that’s political posturing,” Obama said at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Manila — making a veiled reference to GOP candidate and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. “When people say we should have a religious test, and only Christians, proven Christians, should be admitted, that’s offensive, and contrary to American values.”
No candidate has said we should not “admit three-year-old orphans.” The president knows this. His decision to present a completely false impression in a foreign country is unacceptable. He is not the president of refugees. He is the president of the United States.
THE ANTI-CHRISTIAN LEFT?
On the matter of Christians, there are grounds for debate because so few are being admitted. Note that media firmly in Democrats’ camp chooses to call those of us concerned about security “anti-refugee”. That is nonsense. Most of us pay generously for refugee assistance through our income taxes. Many of us have volunteered or individually helped those who come to live in America from foreign lands.
The flip side of the coin comprises a question. Why is the left “anti-Christian” when it comes to refugees?
By the account of Obama’s own State Dept., Christians are one of the top groups targeted by ISIL and others in the political bloc making war against anyone who chooses to oppose them. So why are we admitting a paltry number of Christians? Is it deliberate? Who actually put buy modafinil online sun pharma, the United Nations or Democrats?
The refugees certainly aren’t overwhelmingly young children. Pew Research Center, definitely no fountain of conservative ideology, reported on buy modafinil singaporeat the end of September:
“Syrians are the biggest single group of asylum applicants this year, comprising about 20% of the total (though some refugees from other countries reportedly are claiming to be Syrian, in the hopes of improving their chances of gaining asylum). More than half the asylum seekers, in fact, are from just five countries: Syria, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Albania and Iraq. Most (72%) are male, and more than half (54%) are ages 18 to 34; men in that age bracket account for fully 43% of asylum applicants.”
CULTURAL AND POLITICAL CLASHES
Pew has also done extensive research on buy modafinil paypal, and the president should read it. While some countries—Albania, Kosovo, Turkey—have pluralities who do not favor making Sharia law the law of the land, those who live in countries where Islam is the official state religion do favor it. In countries in South Asia and the Middle East and North Africa, a majority favors executing those who decide to leave Islam for another faith.
All that aside, there are legitimate questions to be asked about cultural impacts. In many Muslim countries, the US First Amendment would not be tolerated. In most, the way women dress in the US would lead to arrest and imprisonment. The president wrote in his books about Muslim influence during his boyhood. Did he forget the tenets of that faith as practiced by many?
It serves no one in the US for our president to fabricate statements and take partisan bickering to a stump in another country. This has become a custom among those in his party, on matters such as carbon emissions (framed as “climate change”) and religious tolerance (with Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism rarely if ever mentioned). Furthermore, global corporate interests permanently in search of cheap labor and natural resources have added to the conflagration.
Osama bin Laden took localized conflict to international levels, using six propaganda points to recruit sympathizers. Among those listed in Michael Scheuer’s must-read book Osama bin Laden were “the U.S. military and civilian presence” in Mecca, US support for “tyrannical Muslim governments” and Israel, US support for oppressors of Muslims by countries like “Russia, China, and India”, “exploitation of Muslim energy resources at below-market prices”, and “the U.S. military presence in the Muslim world outside the Arab Peninsula.” [pg. 113, print]
Bin Laden’s claims could be rebutted effectively, especially since the brand of Islam he promoted harmed Muslims most of all. But US foreign policy has avoided public rebuttal, with Obama choosing to cast Muslims as one homogenous body which they most certainly are not.
Earlier this year, in response to a message from India on social media, I wrote columns about an author in that country who had written a book on marriage and divorce in Islam. The author, buy modafinil europe, didn’t get to enjoy her book launch because it was interrupted by a largely male Muslim group upset with her for simply telling the truth about how females are disadvantaged legally in many countries. Ms. Zaheer is a devout Muslim.
There are significant cultural differences between East and West on matters such as buy modafinil uk paypal, buy modafinil nz, and other matters. To ignore this is to court folly and obstruct solutions.
The political bloc engaging in Islamist terrorism is currently superior in messaging compared to Western messaging. Until we properly communicate concepts of Western freedom, the Bill of Rights, and tolerance for all, including those disfavored Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists, we will not win this war.
NO COUNTRY MORE GENEROUS AT RESETTLEMENT THAN THE US
No country is more generous in actually resettling, as opposed to simply “hosting, refugees than the US. We currently resettle the vast majority of stateless people. Why isn’t our president taking to the stump to ask other countries, especially those in the Gulf and elsewhere, why they aren’t they helping resettle these people who are in many cases victims of an internecine war within political Islam?
Our president seems unable to grasp the fact we are currently at war, a war we have been formally engaged in since being attacked by a political bloc within Islam in 2001.
The real war actually began before that, with President Bill Clinton putting a band-aid on it after the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993. That bombing was a test drill for the broader attacks in 2001. Clinton viewed it as a law enforcement problem. Fact is, we were at war and he chose to deny it. Other attacks on US interests had occurred before Clinton’s regime, but not on the level of an Islamist attack on the US homeland.
President George W. Bush followed Clinton’s lead, possibly because of political chaos created by supporters of Al Gore after the 2000 elections and because of a transition obstructed by the same once Bush took office.
Clinton did engage in de facto war—buy modafinil with bitcoin.
buy modafinil canada reddit, the FBI said:
First Strike: Global Terror in America
Fifteen years ago this week, at about 17 minutes past noon, a thunderous explosion rocked lower Manhattan.
The epicenter was the parking garage beneath the World Trade Center, where a massive eruption carved out a nearly 100-foot crater several stories deep and several more high. Six people were killed almost instantly. Smoke and flames began filling the wound and streaming upward into the building. Those who weren’t trapped were soon pouring out of the building—many panic-stricken and covered in soot. More than a thousand people were hurt in some way, some badly, with crushed limbs.
It was Friday, February 26, 1993, and Middle Eastern terrorism had arrived on American soil—with a bang.”
The leftbuy modafinil online india in a criminal court. Why? How, exactly, does that make sense? Clinton’s policy simply empowered America’s enemies.
After reading the president’s remarks, the first thing that came to my mind was a cliché. I wanted to ask President Obama, “What, sir, have you been smoking?”
