Days after the 2016 presidential election and state races delivering a resounding defeat to Democrats across the nation, The New York Times ran a letter promising it would “rededicate” its coverage to be more honest after realizing shilling for Hillary Clinton didn’t work out so well.
As President-Elect Donald Trump bent over backwards to assure a very rattled left they need not fear his policies, both Trump and President Barack Obama called for unity. The NYT and other media missed both leaders’ messages.
This morning, yet another attack on Trump was launched by the NYT over decisions he made about his White House Staff.
Concurrently, other stories are breaking about Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison’s aspirations to head up the National Committee for his Democrat party. As those stories broke, Ellison took the opportunity to attack Trump’s choice for Stephen Bannon as senior adviser. This is where the story really gets interesting.
Ellison, in a formal statement posted on his congressional website funded by US taxpayers, wrote:
“Mr. Bannon is adored by white supremacists, white nationalists, anti-Semites, neo-Nazis, and the KKK.”
His enthusiasm to attack Trump aside, Ellison apparently suffers from what small government proponents call ‘Demnesia.’
The fact Ellison is a Muslim has been touted by Democrats for years, but that’s not an issue. What media appear to have forgotten is Ellison’s involvement with a black supremacist group. Not as in he is “adored” by them, something beyond his control. More importantly, how Ellison worked directly with this group on a national initiative and wrote articles defending the group.
The group is Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam who also supported President Obama’s election for the presidency. As a matter of fact, Farrakhan called candidate Obama “the Messiah.”
If interested, you can locate the group’s website online by using a search engine like duckduckgo.com—that search engine doesn’t track you. I encourage you to read more about a group whose theology reads like a science fiction script.
Otherwise, you can turn to the left of center organization the Southern Poverty Law Center. That group has even cast conservative talk radio hosts as extremists, so when SPLC calls a group supporting Democrats extreme, it should give you pause. SPLC said of NOI:
“ [I]ts bizarre theology of innate black superiority over whites — a belief system vehemently and consistently rejected by mainstream Muslims — and the deeply racist, anti-Semitic and anti-gay rhetoric of its leaders, including top minister Louis Farrakhan, have earned the NOI a prominent position in the ranks of organized hate.”
NOI isn’t the only hate group supporting Democrats, but that party’s media including the NYT and other left of center messengers stay mum about such matters.
Ellison, when he was in law school, according to leftist media The Washington Post, not only defended NOI’s leader, he also wanted more reparations for blacks whose ancestors were slaves. Those reparations would be paid by whites who have never owned slaves and who have never been compensated for their ancestors’ enslavement by Muslims—roughly 1.5 million of them to be exact.
History placed in context reveals almost every ethnicity practiced slavery at one time or another. White slavery has been virtually eradicated from textbooks by left of center revisionists.
Rep. Ellison has also told media ISIS is not “Islamic.”
This is the individual Democrats want to head their party’s national committee. It is likely the NYT will bury anything negative about him as President Elect Trump sets up his staff and cabinet picks while focusing on improving the economy and national security for all Americans.
Meanwhile no Democrat, including Ellison, is calling for the removal of the late senator Robert Byrd’s name from federal buildings. Once one of the most powerful men in Congress, Byrd was an admitted KKK organizer. When he died, after serving in the US Senate for so long he literally fell asleep while business was being conducted in the Chamber, the NYT ran the headline, “Robert Byrd, Respected Voice of the Senate, Dies at 92 …”
Not once has a single ‘reporter’ ever asked Byrd exactly what experiences he had as a Klan leader.
Byrd, who voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964, was a lifelong Democrat.
So much for the NYT’s “honesty” promise. I didn’t take that promise seriously for a second.
By the way, you can get an idea of Byrd’s mindset after he reportedly “evolved”, from a 2009 video at YouTube. Be prepared and don’t let the ‘N-word’ upset you.
Frankly, it is up to us, the American people, to cut through propaganda aimed at dividing us for political power, and seek unity. Media allied with Democrats’ socialist objectives are an adversary in that regard.
As Americans, we need to adopt a new paradigm spoken by a wise man long ago, to judge a person by “character,” and not by the color of his skin. [See Martin Luther King quotes for more.]
