President Obama and Mrs. Clinton’s checkered past with Russia and the CIA

Morell testified before Congress on Benghazi

During congressional testimony, the CIA’s Morell admitted changing talking points about attacks on US properties in Benghazi. The attacks happened shortly before the 2012 presidential election. Since that time, Morell has said he would do everything to see that Mrs. Clinton wins the White House.(Video snip/YouTube; Daily Worldwide News)

As conjecture and anonymously sourced claims abound alleging Russia interfered in the US presidential election, both sides of the aisle in Congress are calling for investigations.

Ironically no one is calling or has called for investigations of events that impacted national security or investigations of CIA veterans’ involvement in the 2016 US election.

To date, statements published in leftist publications like The New York Times contain attributions to unnamed Obama administration officials whose claims about Russia attempting to influence our election are framed in ambiguous language.

For instance The NYT quoted a “senior administration official” in alleging:

“We now have high confidence that they hacked the D.N.C. and the R.N.C., and conspicuously released no documents” from the Republican organization, one senior administration official said, referring to the Russians.”

Note the official doesn’t provide the reporter with proof—just “high confidence.”

Putting those concerns aside, what no media appear willing to tackle is the fact both President Barack Obama and Democrats’ losing 2016 contender Hillary Clinton have a checkered past with Russia. The CIA had former high level operatives attempting to throw the 2016 election to the Democrat.

Shouldn’t we be talking about these matters?

As he sought reelection, Obama certainly downplayed Russia’s power in the geopolitical arena, making fun of the GOP’s losing 2012 contender Mitt Romney who considered the threat of Russia’s power a priority in foreign policy. Leftist publishers and comics had a field day with Romney’s comments. The press as usual took Obama’s word for whatever he said, acting as advocates in his reelection.

Even after our president was caught unawares on a hot mic, telling then Russia president Dmitry Medvedev that after the 2012 presidential election, Obama would have “more flexibility” on matters like missile defense, media didn’t go collectively into therapy and hypersensitive millennials didn’t seek safe spaces. For a Republican contender, that type of comment would’ve been a deal killer. Not for a president whose passes from media are legendary.

Media had already given little attention to a letter sent by GOP lawmakers warning about national security implications of Russia’s acquisition of a sizable share of the US uranium market. Russia got the deal, and one signatory to it was Obama’s then secretary of state Mrs. Clinton.

Media gave little attention to a scandal that, had the party in power in the executive branch been different, would’ve drawn epic coverage. The FBI released information about Operation Ghost Stories, a Russian spy ring. One high ranking Democrat had a close brush with one of the spies. Mrs. Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign finance chairman’s financial planner was a Russian spy.

The spy ring, considering Mrs. Clinton’s “reset” with Russia, should have been a giant flag. Apparently once the FBI concluded its investigation, no one thought to delve deeper.

Mrs. Clinton’s famous “reset” with Russia aside, details in emails released by WikiLeaks, a publisher denying Russia played any role in obtaining the materials the site was given, didn’t help her cause in 2016. The emails reflected arrogance among her campaign staffers and general disdain for everyday Americans. By the time Mrs. Clinton pulled a ‘Romneyesque’ gaffe, calling millions of Americans “deplorables” and worse, we pretty much knew how she felt about everyday Americans of any color or creed.

On Obama and Hillary’s watch, there was another matter that should’ve raised red flags in the US intel community—the sale of Olavsvern. Most mass media didn’t cover it in depth. No one benefited more than Russia from the acquisition of Olavsvern on Obama and Mrs. Clinton’s watch. That base gives Russia more power militarily and economically.

The CIA has been in the forefront of the 2016 election in an unusual manner, with a former upper tier staffer who served both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush’s administration declaring in August, 2016:

“Between now and then, I will do everything I can to ensure that she is elected as our 45th president.”

That staffer, Mike Morell, was responsible for talking points on Benghazi—a propaganda campaign if ever one existed ahead of an election—and he was also responsible for the presidential daily briefings in the administration of George W. Bush.

One key actor in the 2016 election hoping to upend a victory for President Elect Donald Trump was also a former CIA spook—Evan McMullin. That former CIA spook has jumped onto a soapbox even after the election, continuing to attack Trump.

Despite all the hoopla about Russia, media seem to have overlooked the fact two former key CIA operatives who were part and parcel of both the Clinton and Bush the 2nd administrations have attempted to create havoc—essentially to throw the recent election.

Considering the conflagration sweeping the Mideast and North Africa as well as Russia and China’s emergence as dominant powers in their geopolitical regions, and Iran’s newfound respectability, courtesy in large part of Mrs. Clinton and President Obama’s foreign policy, now might be a good time to examine the range of powers the CIA has been given in the foreign policy arena.

After all, John Brennan, Obama’s current CIA director has admitted he voted for a communist for president in 1980.

Brennan, Morell, McMullin—all these actors with deep ties to the CIA and to previous administrations and the current one, have been key players in the 2016 election and aftermath. Each one of these men has played a role in foreign policy in the war against radical Islam. Each one of these men has served the intel community during years our country suffered attacks like 9/11, Ft. Hood, the gay nightclub assault in Orlando, and the Boston Marathon among others.

Seems to me the facts warrant a deep investigation from Congress although on both sides of the aisle, congressional dinosaurs appear to be following the leftist meme that Russia did it all.

Fact is, Russia benefited immensely from both Mrs. Clinton and President Obama’s foreign policy. That is worth consideration when we hear claims from media based on anonymous sources, conjecture, and quite likely sour grapes because the candidate media openly advocated for came up short when Trump won the popular vote in 30 US states and one district in Maine.

From race-baiting to tinfoil hat conspiracies, globalists in general have, as Morell pledged, done everything possible to place a second Clinton in the White House. Media have actively assisted that effort. This effort is still ongoing despite an election every party to it has conceded Trump won. Those matters are worth a conversation as well.
