Approval and hysteria follow Comey firing as House IT, China, Russia, other scandals buried

Five Chinese military hackers

As news crashed into the public sphere after President Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey, cries of approval and hysteria resounded throughout the US. Comey, for those of us with solid memories, is no stranger to controversy.

At present the other topic dominating headlines involves allegations about Trump associates and Russia. Every story media have run references anonymous sources. Yet the admission no one seems willing to acknowledge came forth from none other than often addled anti-Trumper, Maxine Waters (D-CA). Waters admitted to a writer for left of center The Washington Post there is no evidence supporting allegations of collusion between Russia and Trump associates.

That admission naturally made no headlines except for a few right of center media outlets noting it.

Also not making the frenetic news cycle are scandals and dangers that represent real threats to the US. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and his like-minded colleagues in the Democrats’ Party busy with politics rather than governance ignore such threats.

Start with a question we should demand answers to.

Why have there been no investigations on the Obama administration’s policy towards Russia? The Obama-Clinton regime enabled Russia to become far stronger during their tenure. This cannot be disputed.

McCain has been far less aggressive in demanding investigations into Hillary Clinton’s actions as secretary of state. From a Russian spy with close ties to a Hillary insider to Bill Clinton’s eye popping speech fees paid by foreign interests, including half a million dollars from a Russian Finance Corporation [PolitiFact] as his wife served President Barack Obama, McCain hasn’t demanded accountability from a woman voters in the majority of US states rejected in 2016. Why not?

McCain has said publicly he’s proud to call Hillary his “friend.”

While Democrats push Russia as a meme ahead of the 2018 elections, no one is talking about China and hacking. To date, one of the most monstrous hacks in our government allegedly came directly from China, with government entities allegedly orchestrating it. The hack was discovered by the Office of Personnel Management in April, 2015.

In the OPM hack, at least 4.2 million federal employees’ data was compromised, and much of the information was highly personal. Besides that, Wired magazine also reported a breach that probably kept many a federal employee awake at night—“ they [hackers] grabbed approximately 5.6 million digital images of government employee fingerprints.”

So where is the hysteria about China? Sidenote: Bill Clinton got more than half a million from a CEO Forum sponsored by China’s Huatuo. The PolitiFact link above confirms that. Democrats and President Obama said nothing. Nor did Comey. Nor did McCain.

As if these matters aren’t troubling enough, a major scandal has drawn virtually no attention from establishment media. Democrats’ House IT scandal has consistently been ignored, and the FBI wasn’t originally even investigating it despite approximately $4 million in taxpayer funds spent on five people who are in one way or another related to or married to each other. According to the Daily Caller, one of the few big media outlets investigating this matter, these sketchy “employees” had access to high-ranking Democrats’ files in Congress.

There’s another angle no media have entertained. Did Ukraine or that country’s supporters attempt to interfere in our election by conducting a smear campaign against both Russia and Trump? I wrote this in March, 2017:

Top of the list is pro-Ukraine activist Alexandra Chalupa, a never-Trumper who teamed up with a convicted bomber Brett Kimberlin to come up with opposition research on Trump. According to The Daily Caller, Chalupa actually “directed” a third party to go to the US Dept. of Justice with documents that turned out to be fake. The third party is described as a “South Africa-born Israeli man named Yoni Ariel.” Ariel’s real name is Jonathan Schwartz.

Adding now: In a rare moment, Politico did cover the Ukraine angle. That is the most buried story of the election cycle. Chalupa once worked in Bill Clinton’s administration.

As media obsess about allegations Russia interfered in the US election, what is striking is what media and their cohorts in government on both sides of the aisle have ignored.

Grabien noted 10 major FBI scandals on Comey’s watch, including an FBI plant in an Islamist group intent on killing Americans.

Comey will occupy media’s partisan brain for weeks. Many of us knew of Comey before he served Obama. He was a counsel in investigating the Clinton Whitewater deal and a prosecutor looking into Bill Clinton’s pardon of a crony facing a number of federal charges. The crony skipped the country and Clinton pardoned him.

What prices did the Clintons pay for Whitewater and the Marc Rich pardon? Zero.

Comey was also at the center of the witchhunt in the Valerie Plame affair. While Comey was extremely aggressive in putting someone in prison for leaks regarding Plame, he stuck his head in the sand regarding leaks over the Obama administration spying on Team Trump. This surprises no one who has followed Comey’s career.

If evidence has surfaced amid Democrats’ allegations about Russia and Trump, that evidence is owed to the American people. Perhaps you can’t disclose it all, but in the interest of whatever honesty might be left in Washington, something should be provided to Americans besides pundit rumors and gossip used solely for political purposes.

At the heart of the divisiveness in Washington is a central conflict about ideology. Most Democrats, Republican McCain and his political kin, and more than a few megadonors favor a globalist agenda and transforming the US into a European socialist state. I don’t think most Americans favor that, but it’s rare that our Congress listens to us these days.

In opposition to that agenda: President Donald Trump.

In 2016 watchdog group Judicial Watch finally got documents requested of the State Department for more than a year. JW announced then-secretary of state Hillary Clinton’s email system hosted on private unsecured servers “was hacked 10 times in two days from November 27-29 [2010].”

Chances are you never heard about that one either. Or the five military hackers from China charged with espionage right here in the USA.
